The Hollywood Hills Senior Living performance was a full-circle moment for Ashley Ann. Performing in the heart of Los Angeles, just miles from where she now lives and creates, she brought her Tools of Survival songs to an audience that appreciated the classic influences woven throughout her music. Many residents grew up with the same Doris Day films and jazz standards that shaped Ashley's sound, and the connection was immediate.
Ashley opened with "Lemons" before moving into deeper cuts from the upcoming EP, including "Caught In The Grey" and "That’s What Mirrors Are For." This a cappella performance also featured Great American Songbook classics "Orange Colored Sky," "Why Don't You Do Right?," and "Whatever Lola Wants."
